Website service terms

Clear terms for a deliberately simple service.

These terms explain the standard Alphonse website setup and Managed Site Care offer. A written proposal, invoice, or order form may add project-specific details.

Effective July 30, 2026

1. The service relationship

These terms apply when a business purchases website setup, Managed Site Care, or related services from Alphonse Automation ("Alphonse," "we," or "us"). By approving a proposal, accepting these terms during payment, or paying an Alphonse invoice, the customer agrees to these terms.

If a written proposal, order form, or invoice conflicts with these terms, the project-specific document controls for that project.

2. Private preview and setup

A speculative preview is provided to help a business evaluate a possible direction. It is not the final website and creates no purchase obligation. The preview may use public or customer-supplied information that must be verified before launch.

The standard $650 setup fee is due before final customization begins. Unless a proposal says otherwise, setup includes factual verification, approved assets, one consolidated revision, form and domain configuration, production quality checks, and launch.

Work beyond the agreed scope—including additional revision rounds, extensive copywriting, new brand identity, ecommerce, custom applications, or substantial new content—requires a separate written quote.

3. Setup cancellations and refunds

The setup fee reserves and funds custom work. It becomes non-refundable once finalization work begins, except where required by law or when Alphonse cannot deliver the agreed service. If a customer cancels before finalization begins, Alphonse will refund the setup payment, less any processor charges that cannot be recovered when permitted by law.

Approved third-party costs, domain purchases, premium assets, and completed out-of-scope work are not refundable.

4. Managed Site Care

Managed Site Care begins when the website launches, not when the setup fee is paid. The standard service is $75 per month and renews automatically month to month until canceled.

Managed care includes production hosting, SSL and DNS oversight, availability and important-form checks, deployment recovery, periodic business-information review, and one bounded batch of small factual, text, or image updates per month. Unused update time does not accumulate. Redesigns, new sections, campaign work, and custom integrations are quoted separately.

A customer may cancel before the next renewal through the available Stripe billing portal or by emailing Alphonse. Service continues through the paid billing period. Partial-month refunds are not provided unless required by law.

5. Payments and failed charges

Payments are processed by Stripe or another provider identified on the invoice. The customer authorizes recurring charges for Managed Site Care until cancellation. Prices exclude any applicable taxes or separately approved third-party costs.

If a recurring payment fails, Alphonse may retry the charge, request updated payment information, or suspend managed services after reasonable notice. Alphonse will not intentionally take a customer site offline without notice unless necessary to address a security, legal, or infrastructure emergency.

6. Customer responsibilities

The customer is responsible for providing accurate business information, timely approvals, and materials it has the right to use. The customer must review names, services, prices, claims, hours, contact information, policies, and regulated or professional content before launch.

Delayed feedback, missing access, or unresolved factual questions may delay launch. Alphonse may decline content or requests that appear unlawful, deceptive, infringing, unsafe, or outside the agreed scope.

7. Ownership and portability

The customer owns its domain, trademarks, supplied materials, and business-specific content. After full payment, the customer receives a permanent right to use the delivered website for its business and may request a documented export or transfer.

Alphonse retains ownership of reusable tools, templates, frameworks, methods, and pre-existing materials. Any continuing third-party software, font, image, or platform license remains subject to that provider's terms.

8. Third-party services

Website delivery may rely on providers such as Vercel, Cloudflare, Resend, Stripe, domain registrars, and email services. Alphonse will use reasonable care in configuring services within its control but is not responsible for independent provider outages, policy changes, account restrictions, or price changes.

9. No performance guarantee

Alphonse does not guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, sales, uninterrupted availability, or compatibility with every device or third-party service. The service is designed to provide a professional, technically sound website and bounded ongoing care—not a guaranteed business outcome.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Alphonse's total liability for a claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Maryland law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions, notices, and cancellation requests may be sent to [email protected].
